July 27, 2015 Johnny Bravo : The Making of Bravo (Part 1)
This is a on going side project I had for a while. Admitfully I have a weird obsession with Johnny Bravo. He is the " Man " after all. So I thought it would be fun to make him a 3D model and bring him through the pipeline. Below you can see the sculpt of Johnny I created in Zbrush.
After the modeling process was completed, I started to texture Mr. Bravo. Everything is rendered in Mental Ray. This was a learning experience for me since it was the first time I experiment with the SSS shader in Maya. Below are some test renders of Johnny Bravo.
Of course one with out the shirt for the ladies... HOO HA HEE!!!
This is a peek into my Flash files for making this short. You can see how I set up my character files. I explain go into how to make effects like water. Showing how to set up a library of drawings so you are not constistantly redrawing the same drawings.
This is my first short I started back when I was a student in 2013. I really do not like the animation on this project so I trashed it. I was discovering my style at the time. Everything was made in Adobe Flash. I do think this project does show off my knowledge of Flash. Enjoy!
Animation is my passion, and gate way to making my dreams a reality. I have had the pleasure to work on, " Axe Cop, " and " Major Lazer." These two cartons show on Fox and FX. I graduated Full Sail University with a Bachelor's of Computer Animation. I consider myself a very talented artist, with much to share. So I created this blog to share my work and knowledge with everyone. I have much to post! Many of my first post will be past work, but I feel like I should get it out there for the world to see. I have high hopes of working in " AAA, " studios. I have a dream of getting my own cartoons on air. If that ever becomes a reality my studio will be called , " Tubular Chaos." Thank you for reading, and please swing...
